Monday, October 7

Holidays Day (Seniors: 4th of July; Juniors: Christmas; Sophomores: Halloween; Freshmen: Valentine's Day)

Homecoming Hall Block Party during an extended Advisory (20 min.)! Students are welcome in the hallways and advisories are encouraged to bring food and/or games.


Tuesday, October 8

Class Color Day (Seniors: Green; Juniors: Blue; Sophomores: Red; Freshmen: White)

Powder Puff Game between Seniors and Juniors from 2:00-2:45 p.m. Players for the game will dismiss at 1:40 p.m. to prepare. Ninth and tenth grade will participate in a half-time field goal-kicking competition. Please note, there is a special bell schedule on Tuesday.

Allowed: T-shirts, leggings/spandex/yoga pants and tutus (as long as bottom is fully covered), jeans, sweatpants, sweatshirts, hoodies (may not have hoodie up), etc. Please remember, there is no face paint, hair dye or glitter permitted during the school day.


Wednesday, October 9

Celebrity Day: Dress like your favorite celebrity or wear a T-shirt with the celebrity prominently displayed! Please note, celebrities portrayed cannot have been involved in scandals or in the news for a negative reason. Full guidelines are listed in the policies section below.

Cookout & Games: Meet us in the Streett Family Courtyard during lunch mods for cookout food prepared by the Patriot Café staff, including a Ball Park Special lunch option. Please note, food is for sale and not provided by the School; students may bring their own lunch.

As a reminder, any students bringing an outside guest to Homecoming, must turn in their guest form by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Forms turned in after October 9 will not be accepted and no guest is guaranteed permission without the approval of the Administration.


Thursday, October 10

Age Day (Seniors: Senior citizens; Juniors: working adults; Sophomores: elementary-age kids; Freshmen: toddlers)

Quiz Bowl Competition: The Academic Team takes on All-Star Staff Team during an extended 20-minute Advisory

Ring Hunt: During mods 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 – a clue will be sent to students on the location of the ring, and any students with free mods or between classes can take part in the hunt. Once you find the ring, deliver it to Security Desk to claim your gift card.


Friday, October 11

Black & Gold Day: Let’s join together to celebrate all things Patriot as we wrap up the week together. Students can wear T-shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, jeans, tights/leggings/yoga pants (shirt or tutu must cover bottom). So come on and show your school spirit together!

2024 Pep Rally: There is a special bell schedule for our end-of-the-day Pep Rally starting at 2:00 p.m. in the Upper Gym. It’s time to get hyped and show your Patriots spirit!

Homecoming Game (7:00 p.m.): We’ll have a DJ, four food trucks, a performance by both the Marching Band and Cheerleaders, as well an introduction of our Royal Court at half time. We cannot wait to see you there in your black and gold. Students enter for free with their student ID, but parents, friends and alum can purchase tickets using GoFan.


Saturday, October 12

Homecoming Dance (7:00–10:00 p.m., Upper Gym): Under the Sea! Through Wednesday, October 9, students can purchase Homecoming Dance tickets online; see full policies below.

Spirit Week & Homecoming Policies

The following policies are in place for Spirit Week activities.

  • The Class of 2025 may not use Senior Privilege early dismissal this week.
  • Clothing that is in disrepair or features alcohol/drug references, profane language, any political and/or divisive statements, or offensive/inappropriate symbols as deemed by the School is not permitted. Administration will have a final say on all outfits.
  • Final decision on the appropriateness of a costume lies in the sole discretion of the Administration.
  • Other clothing that is not permitted includes skirts/dresses/tutus that do not fully cover the bottom, low-cut/revealing/see-through/form-fitting tops and spaghetti straps. No shorts should be worn and no undergarments should be visible on any student.
  • No glitter, face paint or dyed hair is allowed (other than Powder Puff game participants who are permitted to put on outside, after school and immediately before the game).
  • They should not have face paint, face coverings or dyed hair.
  • No facial hair and piercings at any time (per regular school policies).
  • No bull horns or silly string permitted at school (either inside or outside).
  • No ‘tagging’ of other students or property with class colors. If at any point in time a student forcefully touches another student without permission, he/she will face disciplinary action.
  • No destruction of any school property or the property of another individual – destructive behavior will result in student disciplinary action.

The following dress code policies are in place for the Homecoming Dance.

  • Dress code
    • Ladies Acceptable: Dress, skirt or formal pants with blouse/sweater
    • Ladies Unacceptable: Plunging necklines, backless dresses, mini-skirts/dresses
    • Gentlemen Acceptable: Dress pants, dress shirt, tie, jacket/sport coat
    • Gentlemen Unacceptable: Jeans, sweaters with no jacket
  • Tickets
    • No tickets will be sold at the door.
    • If you plan to bring a guest, you are required to print, complete and submit the guest form to the Deans' Office by Wednesday, October 9.
    • There is no entry into the dance after 8:00 p.m.
    • Students are not permitted to leave the dance until 9:00 p.m. After you leave the dance, there is no re-entry.
    • All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
    • The School reserves the right to deny a guest admittance to the dance.
    • If the dance is not able to be held due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, refunds would not be issued; however, the dance itself would be rescheduled for a different date announced later.
