Class of 2031 Dance Program Auditions

Saturday, January 9 • 10:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

Calling all Class of 2031 dancers! Now is your chance to join us for this incredible opportunity included in your John Carroll School tuition. Join us for auditions on Saturday, January 9 at 10:00 a.m. During this audition, Class of 2031 dancers will also be evaluated for scholarships based on their artistic dance merit. Drop off is at 9:45 a.m. Auditions begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and will run until 2:30 p.m. to include an interview. Auditions are held in St. Joseph Hall in the dance studios.

"The Nutcracker" Auditions
August 22 • 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

We welcome all youth ages 5-18 to join us for open auditions for "the Nutcracker!" Auditions will be grouped by age, and a schedule will be sent with your age bracket audition time at a later date. There is a $30 audition fee. All children who audition receive a part. Rehearsals occur Late August through December. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be sent with casting. You will have the opportunity to accept or decline your role(s) at that time. If accepting your role(s), there is a $125 performance fee that will be collected at that time. Performances will be held on Friday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 12 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m.

College Preparatory Dance Program

The John Carroll School College Preparatory Dance Program was established to provide conservatory-level dance education in an academic setting structured to support proper dancer development within a realistic schedule.

Opportunities to move for all ages

In addition to the curricular dance offerings, John Carroll offers extracurricular dance for ages five through adult through the on-campus Academy of Performing Arts and Dance.

Ballet Academy

Under the direction of Laura Ward-Moran, Director of the John Carroll College Preparatory Dance Program, the Ballet Academy provides a structured, anatomically safe learning environment for students to obtain, grow and expand upon a proper ballet foundation.
