Financial investments and philanthropic support enable The John Carroll School to provide a transformative education to its students as well as fund academic programs, extracurricular activities and facility improvements. John Carroll offers advanced courses, research projects and service-learning programs that allow students to fully realize their potential and God-given talents.

The Fund for John Carroll
The Fund for John Carroll is the School's annual giving program, which directly supports the School’s greatest assets — our students and teachers. Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a John Carroll education. Like the majority of independent schools, we rely on the generosity of our community to help close the gap between income and operating costs.
Designating your gift to the Fund for John Carroll helps provide a one-of-a-kind experience for each of our 730 Patriots, and for generations to come.
John Buppert Science Wing
Thanks to a historic $1 million dollar-for-dollar match from the Rollins-Luetkemeyer Foundation and generous support from our community, The John Carroll School is renovating the remainder of the John Buppert Science Wing, and we are well on our way to reimagining the science spaces as dynamic, hands-on environments.
Phase I is under way and will be complete for student use at the beginning of the 2026–2027 school year. Phase I is the full renovation of two classrooms, two science labs and the chemical storage area.
Funds are still needed to meet the full match and complete Phase II, which will realize the full capabilities of the John Buppert Science Wing.
The Rollins-Luetkemeyer Foundation’s Matching Gift Program
The Rollins-Luetkemeyer Foundation generously presented The John Carroll School with an exciting gift-matching program to support scholarships for deserving families with a joint household income between $60,000 and $130,000 annually.
This Rollins-Luetkemeyer Foundation’s matching gift program presents an exceptional opportunity for The John Carroll School to make its transformative education accessible to a wider range of families in Harford County and beyond. By offering financial assistance, we can eliminate barriers that might otherwise prevent talented and motivated students from receiving the quality education they deserve.
The Foundation will gift the School $1 for every $2 contributed by the Patriots community, up to a total of $250,000. This initiative aligns with The John Carroll School’s mission and values, and we are confident that our community will rise to the challenge of supporting our students and unlocking this exciting match.

When you "Save a Seat" in the Auditorium, you ensure it remains a vibrant space for learning, creativity and connection for generations of Performing Arts students. Celebrate your passion for the arts or honor a Patriot with this special opportunity, and be a visible part of John Carroll for many years and productions to come with the name of your choice displayed on a special commemorative nameplate on one of the new seats!
