Patriots Athletics is thrilled to announce the addition of Coach Marvin Evans as the Girls Basketball Head Coach at The John Carroll School! Coach Evans will also be a full-time faculty member within the Mission & Ministry Office as the School's Retreat Coordinator.

Coach Evans brings 18 years of coaching experience across high school, junior college, NCAA Division I and NCAA Division III programs. His proven track record includes building programs, mentoring award-winning student-athletes and fostering leadership, academic success and player development.

Most recently, he served as Head Coach at Harford Community College, where he led the team to back-to-back Region XX Championships and developed multiple All-Conference and two All-American honorees. He led the program to its first 20-win season since 2020, earning recognition as a finalist for Junior College Coach of the Year. He also assisted 40 male and female student-athletes matriculate to four-year institutions.

A former standout player at Western Connecticut State University, Coach Evans was a two-year team captain and named Conference Player of the Year. He remains one of the top scorers and rebounders in program history. He’s the founder of Total Ball Game, LLC and contributed to major basketball showcases and elite camps across the region, including the NCAA Academy, Tri-State College Prep Camps, Howard University Elite Camp, and Towson University Elite and Youth Camps.
