Five New Members Join The John Carroll School Board of Trustees

The John Carroll School is pleased to announce five exceptional individuals as the newest members of the Board of Trustees. The School’s new trustees have demonstrated their dedication to fostering growth and success in various industries and our community. Their combined expertise and passion for advancing the School's values will undoubtedly contribute to a positive future for students.



Mary Martello Fraiji, M.D. ’85 joins The John Carroll School Board of Trustees and will serve on the Advancement Committee. Dr. Fraiji holds her B.A. in Biology from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, M.S. in Health Science from Johns Hopkins University and M.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, serving as Chief Resident.

Dr. Fraiji has extensive experience in academic medicine, primary care and urgent care, mentoring physicians and caring for patients across Harford County. She currently practices at Towson University Student Health Services and Springfield Hospital Center. With her vast medical expertise and dedication to service, Dr. Fraiji is poised to make an impact on the Advancement Committee.

Russell LaGreca '93 joins The John Carroll School Board of Trustees and will serve on the Finance Committee. Mr. LaGreca holds a B.B.A. in Economics from Loyola University Maryland, graduating magna cum laude. He brings more than 29 years of experience in financial services and currently serves as Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley Graystone, advising institutions, retirement plans and families on investment strategy and financial planning.

An active volunteer, he also serves on the Investment Committee and Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Harford County. His financial expertise and dedication to service will be a valuable asset to The John Carroll School’s leadership.

Carolyn Kavanagh Lambdin ’70 joins The John Carroll School Board of Trustees and will serve on the Advancement Committee. Following John Carroll, she earned her B.S. in Business Management from the University of Maryland University College (now Global Campus). Mrs. Lambdin spent 22 years working for Harford County Government, including the Department of Community Services as well as the Department of Administration, where she was an Administrative Specialist and Administrative Secretary/Assistant to the Director of Administration.

A dedicated volunteer, Mrs. Lambdin is currently President of the Morris A. and Clarisse B. Mechanic Foundation, as well as a member of the Harford County Public Library Board of Trustees. Past Board experience includes the Harford County Public Library Foundation Board, the Maryland Center for the Arts Board of Trustees and Friends of the Bel Air Library Board. Her extensive Foundation expertise is certain to be invaluable to both the Advancement Committee and full Board.

Gavin Rayburn ’07 joins The John Carroll School Board of Trustees and will serve on the Finance Committee. Mr. Rayburn holds a B.A. in Business Management from Washington College. Prior to joining the Board of Trustees, he was an active member of The John Carroll School’s Alumni Advisory Board, serving as Chair from 2023-2025. Mr. Rayburn has more than 12 years of experience in wealth management and financial planning and is Vice President of Wealth Management at Chesapeake Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley, managing $1.7 billion in ultra-high-net-worth and institutional assets.

Recognized on Forbes’ Best-In-State Wealth Management team from 2022–2025, Mr. Rayburn specializes in investment, retirement, tax and estate planning. His financial expertise and strategic perspective make him a strong addition to both the Finance Committee and Board.

Colin P. Ward ’90 joins The John Carroll School Board of Trustees and will also serve on the Finance Committee. Mr. Ward earned his B.A. in Rhetoric & Writing from Mount Saint Mary’s University, an MHS in Healthcare Management and a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) in Healthcare Leadership from Johns Hopkins University. He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, public health and population health management, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health.

During his tenure at Upper Chesapeake Health, Mr. Ward has led major operational transformations, construction projects and community health initiatives, including COVID-19 response programs. His guidance will be instrumental in helping the Finance Committee and Board of Trustees make informed decisions that drive growth.
