And the Tony Award goes to Suzan-Lori Parks '81! Join us in congratulating her on winning "Best Revival of a Play" for "Topdog/Underdog" at the 76th Annual Tony Awards! Parks' "Topdog/Underdog," a 2002 Pulitzer Prize winner, is a darkly comic fable of brotherly love and family identity that tells the story of two brothers, Lincoln and Booth. The brothers, with names given to them as a joke by their father, come to learn the true nature of their history.

Tracy Imm '83 is an adjunct lecturer in the Communication & Cinema and Economics & Business Administration departments at McDaniel College, and recently received the Nora Roberts Faculty Award! This award provides financial support for a faculty member to establish or build upon a social justice, service learning or community engagement project. Tracy will use the funds to continue her Social Impact Storytelling course, teaching students how to leverage storytelling as a strategic tool and giving them the opportunity to build a communications plan to support a social impact cause. Megan Cashour O'Brien '90 and her family reside in San Francisco where she teaches voice lessons. She also volunteers as the choir director at San Quentin State Prison to share her gift of music with others. Since joining the program in 2019 and after a hiatus during COVID-19, it's grown from two to 16 participants and she hopes to expand to other institutions. Katelyn Wolf Capozzoli '13 works as an Environmental Health Specialist for the Baltimore County Department of Health. In May, she began pursuing her Master's in Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and was one of 50 students selected and awarded the prestigious Bloomberg Fellowship for the program. Katelyn currently lives in Northern Harford County on her 6-acre property that she is slowly turning into a hobby farm!

Tyler Boyd '11 is a Resource Management Operations and Medical Information Services Flight Commander for the U.S. Air Force. He just finished a year-long tour in Turkey, stationed in the heart of the largest earthquake ever for a NATO ally. As a health officer, he was responsible for the direction of medical supplies and other needs, as theirs was the only local airstrip available with no damage. Prior to that, he assisted in the COVID-19 response in San Antonio, TX. As a result, Mount St. Mary's University, his alma mater for undergraduate studies and first master's degree, named Tyler the 2023 Distinguished Young Alumni! Thank you for your service, Tyler!

From bikes to motorcycles, these lifelong friends from the Class of 1975 are still rolling strong! Earlier this fall, they took a trip down memory lane by riding back to school and posing for a picture on the very same front steps where their friendship began.

Andrew Dennison '10, Ben Volker ‘08 and Steven Farrell ‘08 are members of the Southern Lacrosse Officials Organization and were recognized as the Scholastic Official of the Year Awards for the 2023 season. In addition, Andrew and Ben were accepted into the National Intercollegiate Lacrosse Officials Association and will begin officiating college lacrosse in the spring of 2024.

Michael Chipi '20, now a senior at Mount St. Mary's, was just named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week earlier this month! He comes off a first-place win at the Dutchmen Invitational, finishing the 8k course in just 25:33.1 and ahead of 169 runners. Congrats, Michael!

Hillary Depman Tayson '03 and her mother, Betsy Depman, are the proud owners of Coffee Coffee, located in Festival Bel Air. With a passion for serving up the finest brews, cozy atmosphere and warm smile with every cup, this family-run gem was voted "Best Coffee Shop" in Harford County! A little anxious at his first rehearsal for "Beautiful: The Carol King Musical," Brady Fritz '15 mentioned being from Maryland and Sara Ruzicka King, a fellow castmate and former John Carroll student, swung around and said, "I'm from Maryland!" The two went on to make the connection that they both attended John Carroll and were heavily involved in the Theatre Department!

Sara reprises the role of Cynthia Weil after her multi-year run on Broadway as an original company member. At John Carroll, she played Polly Baker in the 2002 show, "Crazy for You."

Brady plays the multi-role characters of Neil Sedaka, Lou Adler, Righteous Brother, Ensemble and Understudy for Barry Mann. At John Carroll, he played Jesus in "Godspell," Troy in "High School Musical," Aladdin in "Aladdin," Ren in "Footloose" and Cosmo Brown in "Singing in the Rain!"
